• Mini Tennis

Our coaching programme delivers the LTA Mini Tennis sessions, which is a fun and exciting way for children to get into the world of tennis.  Children between 3 and 10 years old can now get stuck into tennis.  With smaller courts, nets and rackets and lower bouncing balls, mini tennis offers the perfect introduction to the sport, with all the fun and energy of the real thing.

There are four stages of mini tennis; Tots, Red, Orange and Green, each with their own court size and type of ball.  This tailored approach enables players to develop vital skills and techniques at an early age.

We also run the LTA Mini Tennis Rally Awards scheme, designed to help mini players learn in stages and take part in exciting exercises with regular rewards, which encourage them to develop their tennis skills at a pace to suit them.

Many sports have a mini version including football, rugby and cricket which are helping to develop young talent in approaching learning environments.

Get set for the mini game with the big attitude!

• Adult tennis

Our adult coaching is comprehensive and allows players of different standards the opportunity to play and be coached at their own pace.

There is ample opportunity for adults to play with others of a similar ability at social and group sessions. If you prefer you can also join club nights and club leagues.

To enjoy tennis, players want to play with people of a similar standard. We understand this and therefore have adopted a standard guide to help determine which coaching sessions are right for you.

  • Beginner - Little or no previous experience. Learning the basics of the game.
  • Improver - Beginner mastering the basics, but not that confident in the game.
  • Advanced - Confident in a game situation with reasonable consistency of shots.
  • Club Confident - Consistent and also developing the ability to control points.
  • Team Player - Strong player who can control points with power and spin.
Our coaching programmes offer group sessions at each level of play. In addition the club organises numerous inter-club competitions and social events during the year.

We also offer specialised coaching for adults. Some of the many courses we run throughout the year include forehand clinic, backhand clinic, serve clinic, volley clinic, match tactic and improve your fitness.
