About the Club

Portcullis Tennis Club is a Clubmark accredited club with over 200 members located at the Hithercroft Sports Park on the edge of Wallingford. 

Founded in 1952, we have grown steadily and now benefit from 5 newly laid all-weather hard courts and floodlight facilities meaning we can play all year round and compete in various county competitions at all ages and standards. 

We have our own resident coach and a thriving junior section. 

There are various club sessions through the week:

Tues 7-9pm             Adults & Invited Juniors

Weds 10am-12pm    Adults

Thurs 7-9pm           Adults & Invited Juniors

Fri 7-8:30pm           Juniors 11-16yrs 

Sat 10am-12pm      Adults

Portcullis Tennis Club have benefitted from the generous donations from the following organisations:

SCM Ltd, a local very successful construction company are our lead sponsor this year.  We have been using their money to fund coaching in local schools, in particular Fir Tree School.  The money provided by SCM has already provided over 40 hours of coaching at the school benefiting each and every child on the school roll.

The monies donated by Wallingford Town Council, Rowse Honey and the money raised through Waitrose Community Matters is funding coaching at other local junior schools. 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the above for their generosity which will hopefully inspire local youngsters to take up tennis and bring them enjoyment and success.
